New Predictive Tool Can Help Determine Treatment of Breast Cancer Patient

A new predictive measurement, called a PEPI score, could bring good news to many women diagnosed with early stage breast cancer — a low PEPI (preoperative endocrine prognostic index) score could show that they have little risk of relapse and can safely avoid chemotherapy after surgery.

Research Shows Rehabilitation Benefits of Using Nintendo Wii

 A UMDNJ case study focused on use of the Nintendo Wii for rehabilitation of a teen with cerebral palsy is believed to be the first published research showing the physical therapy benefits resulting from use of the wildly popular gaming system.

Vitamin C Supplements May Reduce Benefit from Anticancer Drugs

 In pre-clinical studies, vitamin C appears to substantially reduce the effectiveness of anticancer drugs, say researchers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
